The Surface Coating is a growing industry and with the so many multinational OEM companies (MNC) in white good & Global automobile giants entering into Indian market along with growing urbanization there has been an increasing demand for qualified Surface Coating Technologists. We find it difficult to meet the increasing demand from the industry.
To meet the need of the persons working with Paint industry and with a view to enhance their academic knowledge about paints and surface coatings, D. E. Society has started an autonomous Certificate course in Paint Manufacturing and Application – Distance Learning Programme. The course has been designed in consultation with industry experts. A person completing the course would have gained required knowledge about paints that includes basic raw materials, their roles and functions, types of paints, their formulations and manufacturing methods, Paint Application, Evaluation of paints, Paint film defects and how to overcome them.
The course commences from 1st July 2025 and will end on 31st May, 2026. On successful completion of the course, the students will be awarded certificates by D.E. Society. .

Course Mechanism (Mode of Execution)
Total Ten lessons. Each one lesson will be sent on the first of every month.
Please mention your E Mail ID in the Admission Form. (It is Mandatory) First lesson on 1st July 2024 and the last lesson on 1st April, 2025
Lessons will be accompanied with Q-Paper, to be answered and answer-sheet (hard copy) to be submitted within 2 weeks. The answer papers will be evaluated and marks will be communicated to the students.
The students will be free to contact Institute for difficulties, if any. In this way, it will be a continuous teaching-learning & evaluation process throughout the year.
There will be a 3-day (full time) contact session before the examination
Examination will be conducted in the Second or third week of May, 2025.
Minimum passing will be 40 % in each paper. Total 3 Theory Papers, each of 100 marks and 3 hrs. duration + Oral Exam. of 100 marks. + 100 (All 10 assignments converted to the base 100). i.e. Total 500 Marks.

Eligibillity : minimum 10th or equivalent with 1 years experience in Paint Industry.
Examining Authority : D. E. Society
Rs. 19,000 + 350 (ERP Fee) + 1000 (Exam Fee) = 19350 + 18% GST = Rs. 22,833/- to be paid at the time of admission

Paint Formulations & Manufacturing. – Formulating principles & manufacturing methods.
